Meet Sammy, your new best friend!
Sammy is the sweetest and friendliest boy around! His favorite thing is to meet new people. He will sit for pets and make the sweetest grumbles when you scratch the right spot. He also might sneak a kiss. He is friendly to all people, but will jump on them when he gets excited, so he will need calm intros. Sammy is house and crate trained. He is still learning how to walk on a leash, and may pull to reach all the cool places he wants to explore, but he responds well to training and is improving every day. Sammy is food motivated and eager to please. He also loves to chew and de-fluff his toys. No stuffy is safe. He is still learning what he is allowed to chomp on, but will quickly drop anything he shouldn't have when given a toy to chew on instead. When it comes to other pups, Sammy enjoys a playful puppy but tends to keep to himself around adult dogs. He's had some tough experiences in the past, so he would do best as the king of the castle as he continues to work on training and confidence. At the end of the day, Sammy's dream is simple: curl up on the couch and snuggle as close to you as possible...ideally in your lap!
Ideal Home
Sammy would do best as the only dog in the home. Children are okay as long as they have experience with large dogs.
Ongoing Health
Sammy has completed his heartworm treatment.
Training & Support
Sammy is house and crate trained. He is still learning how to walk on a leash and what he is allowed to chew on. He responds well to training and will quickly drop items he shouldn't have when offered a toy. He is food motivated and eager to please.
