Rumi Cutie is an absolute gem, a 6-year-old pittie mix who weighs around 53 lbs. She's the embodiment of sweetness and affection, eager to be everyone's best friend. With a heart of gold and a radiant personality, Rumi brings smiles wherever she goes, especially with her captivating puppy-dog eyes and innocent grin. This wonderful girl is incredibly gentle and patient with children, even the youngest ones, and takes treats delicately from their hands. She's also dog-friendly, preferring calm companions but enjoying lighthearted play. Rumi even had a positive introduction to a resident cat, showing respect and no chasing behavior. She's a quick learner, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is house, crate, and potty trained.
Ideal Home
Rumi would thrive in a home with a backyard for her to explore and sunbathe, but she can also adapt to apartment living with adequate exercise and socialization. She's happy with walks, park visits, or enrichment games. She would do well with a medium-energy male dog who enjoys companionship but isn't overly boisterous, though she doesn't require another dog to be happy.
Ongoing Health
Rumi is a rescue dog, and her exact breed and age are a mystery. All vetting is up to date, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. She has also had a heartworm test and treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Rumi is eager to please and loves to learn. She already knows "sit" and "down" and walks nicely on leash with occasional pulling when she catches an interesting scent. She responds well to gentle corrections. She has excellent house manners and is both crate and potty trained.
