Hello there! My name is Putter, and I'm the most charming fellow from the "golf litter." I'm an American Bulldog/Retriever mix, weighing in at a respectable 62 pounds. I'm told I'm a sweet and smart dog with medium to low energy, making me the perfect companion for relaxing evenings. My absolute favorite things are cuddling up close, going for car rides, enjoying leisurely walks, and having a good play session! I'm known for my goofy antics, including my signature play growl, playful hops, and enthusiastic play bows – they always bring smiles to people's faces. I'm also a pro at walking nicely on a leash, never pulling, and I'm a very good boy when it comes to my house manners. I'll let you know when I need to go outside by sitting by the door. I'm comfortable in my crate and can also be trusted to roam freely outside of it, and I've never been one to chew on things I shouldn't! I even know some cool tricks like sit, paw, other paw, lay down, and roll over!
Ideal Home
I'm working on my social skills and do well around children in public settings. However, I'd be happiest in a home with older children or no children, as their energetic play can sometimes make me a little nervous. I also need to be the only pet in the household, as I wasn't properly socialized with other dogs when I was younger. And sorry, no kitties for me!
Ongoing Health
I'm fully vetted, which includes being spayed, microchipped, dewormed, tested for heartworm and receiving preventative treatment, flea and tick preventative, and all age-appropriate vaccinations. I've also had a veterinarian exam within the past 30 days.
Training & Support
I'm already a pro at house training and crate training, and I know several basic commands. My main need is a patient and understanding home that can help me continue to build confidence around lively environments.
