About Nellie (CAT FRIENDLY)

Hiya friends! My name is Nellie, and I'm a 4-year-old Shepherd mix gal who was found wandering near a busy road. Thankfully, some wonderful people saved me and brought me into the safety of rescue. I've been fully vetted, I'm healthy, and I'm ready to find my forever home!

I'm a sweet girl, a little timid at first, but I warm up quickly and become very affectionate. If you have tasty treats, I'll be your bestie in no time! I do really well with other dogs, both small and large, and I'm also very respectful of cats, so if you have feline friends, we'll likely get along swimmingly. Plus, I'm great with kids!

I know how to sit, wait for my food, I'm a nice car rider, and I sleep quietly next to my foster family at night. I've also been working on leash training, and it's going well. I desperately want a family of my own to go on walks with, get pup-cups, play in a safe yard, and receive lots of love and tummy rubs. If you're looking for a resilient, smart, playful, and affectionate new companion who is cat-friendly and kid-friendly, I'm your girl!

Ideal Home

A loving family who can give me lots of patience as I warm up, and who will continue my leash training and help me gain confidence.

Ongoing Health

I am up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm testing, and monthly preventatives. I have been spayed.

Training & Support

I know basic commands like "sit" and "wait." I am working on my leash manners and I'm doing well. I would benefit from continued training and positive reinforcement to help me feel more secure.
