Raquel

Raquel is an eleven-month-old Anatolian Shepherd with a heart as big as her future size! She came to us from a situation where her elderly owners were overwhelmed by over 40 dogs and unable to provide the socialization she needed. While she was cared for and kept clean, Raquel is now learning to navigate the world with a little more confidence. She's incredibly sweet and eager to trust, though new experiences can initially be a bit much for her. She just needs a moment to process and settle in. The great news is that Raquel is not stuck in her shyness; she's making wonderful progress every day and is eager to blossom in the right environment.

Ideal Home

Raquel will grow into a large dog, potentially over 100 pounds, so her new family must be prepared for her size. A securely fenced yard is a must. She's good with other dogs and cats. Because she startles easily and is still building confidence, we recommend a home with children over the age of 10. A confident, friendly resident dog would be a huge asset to Raquel, providing her with a role model to learn from and gain confidence.

Ongoing Health

Raquel is up to date on vaccinations and spayed.

Training & Support

Raquel is still learning about indoor living, leash walking, and general household activities, but she's not difficult, just inexperienced. Patience, routine, and consistency will be key to her continued success.
