Meet Tofu!
Tofu is a thoughtful, seven-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with a handsome blue mottled coat and a loyal heart. This 49-pound pup forms deep bonds with his trusted humans. His journey has made him a sensitive and intelligent boy who thrives in a calm, predictable, and secure environment. Once you're in his inner circle, Tofu will be your shadow, happy to lounge on the couch, join you in the garden, or embark on exciting outdoor adventures!
Ideal Home
Tofu is looking for a calm, adult-only home with experienced pet parents who understand anxious or reactive dogs and are committed to positive reinforcement. He is not comfortable around children and should live in a home without them, as their unpredictability can increase his anxiety. Tofu has lunged toward a child in his current home due to increased anxiety and would be happier in a quieter environment tailored to his needs. He can also be cautious around unfamiliar people and prefers slow, structured introductions. He has had fear-based nip incidents when strangers made direct eye contact or tried to pet him before he felt comfortable, but he consistently gives warning signs. When introductions are handled thoughtfully and his need for space is honored, Tofu settles in well and may quietly observe or ignore visitors.

He is also an excellent hiking, walking, and running companion. Tofu gets along well with most other dogs and can live with a confident cat.
