Meet the breeder

Meet Boyd Faulknor Wigglebutt GSP Kennels. I'm a very small local owner of German Shorthaired Pointer dogs, and a rescuer of various other breeds . All but 2 of my dogs are neutuered or spayed and those two have appointments to be spayed . I currently have 6 GSP's and 9 other dogs that range from a 3 lb Chihuahua to a 97 lb Pitt Bull. All of my dogs live together, eat together, sleep together and get along just fine. They have a nice size outdoor area to run, play, and be dogs, as well as a room in my home that is dedicated solely to them with a doggie door that allows them free range at all times. I do not own a large facility made for breeding dogs and making money, I have raised and trained GSP' dogs since 1983 when I got my first one. I don't do it as a way to make a living, I do it as a hobby and to help with the numerous bills that come with having as many dogs as I do . Unlike some breeders in my area I do not believe in experimenting by combining different breeds to make a new and breed, so no Labs and Pointers, No labs and poodle , In order to keep the breed pure and doing what it was created and bred to do I have always and only breed dogs of the same breed together . All of my dogs are breed to hunt birds, and have the natural ability to do just that . Am average size litter which is 8 to 12 for GSP's will cost the average breeder between 2 and 5 grand to produce , there are vet bills for the Sire and Dam to consider and they're of course vet bills for the new puppies So veterinarian bills, Vacinations for each puppy, wellness check ups for each puppy, micro-chips for each puppy, at least one trip to the vet for each puppy , and the longer they are with me the more trips to the vet , the first set of vaccinations are given at 6 weeks and the second, third, and final set every three weeks after that, so its pretty easy to rack up some big bills before you even begin to sell the pups. I do not and will not ever ask for or take a deposit for a puppy and I will not let anyone touch, visit, or anywhere near the puppys until at least that foirst vaccination is given. I will not sell a puppy to anyone regardless of how much land they own or how big there yard may be unless they have a totally secure area to house the puppy in . A large dog house or the run of the home is a must, fresh water and fresh clean food is a must. GSP require lots of love and attention fron its owner and will give it back in spades. VELCRO DOG doesn't begin to describe how attached they will become. So if your not home much, you have an active lifestyle that can't accomadate a new pup being there, Then don't get a dog. Get a fish So I'm done preaching, if you want a great , smart, loving dog from a guy that breeds for the love of the dog and continuing the breed then come see my pups. I have wonderful smart dogs and pups as good as any out there at a much more reasonable price . I have tons of references from folks that have purchased pups from poreivious litters and they will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about my dogs, my poups or me.
