Chopper (IN FOSTER)

Chopper is a handsome Husky mix who has been patiently waiting for his forever family. He's a staff favorite, known for his energetic "zoomies" and "fun-time tornados"! Chopper is a friendly and affectionate boy who thrives on attention and promises immense loyalty to his chosen human. He's been working through some anxieties in his foster home and is learning to be the best companion.

Ideal Home

Chopper would do best in a home that can provide him with plenty of time and attention. He would prefer a child-free home and a home without cats. He also needs a resident dog who understands his need for space and doesn't mind him playing separately with his toys.

Ongoing Health

Chopper has a touch of separation anxiety, which his foster is helping him manage.

Training & Support

Chopper exhibits some resource guarding and can be possessive of his toys and food. He does not like others touching his toys while he's playing with them. He's learning to manage these tendencies in foster, and his new family will need to continue working with him on boundaries and his reactive behaviors. He thrives with physical play and a separate space for his toys.
