Hi, I’m Lucy. Not too long ago, I was found on the side of the highway in Miami, FL — unable to walk, badly injured, and so skinny you could see every bone in my body. I couldn’t stand. I couldn’t move. I had no idea if anyone would stop for me. But someone did. And that’s when everything started to change. I had a long road ahead of me. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t go to the bathroom on my own. I was scared and weak and just trying to survive. But day by day, I got stronger. First, I could lift my head. Then I could stand. Then, one day… I ran. Now I’m about a year old and feeling better than ever. I’m a medium-sized mix with big soulful eyes, a goofy personality, and a heart that just wants to love and be loved. I’m gaining weight and building back muscle, but I’m already healthy and happy. All that’s missing now is a family. I love other dogs and would be happiest with a playful pup friend. I’m super affectionate and always want to be near my people — I’m a Velcro dog in the very best way. Whether we’re playing, snuggling, or just sitting quietly together, I’ll be right by your side. I’ve been through a lot, but I’ve never stopped being sweet, silly, and full of love. I don’t take a single moment for granted, and I wake up every day excited to just be here. Ongoing Health
