Meet Sky, a lovely 4-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Red Heeler mix who weighs around 60 pounds. Sky is a gentle, calm, and loyal girl who loves to be by your side. She walks beautifully on a leash without pulling and is already leash trained, crate trained, and fully house trained. Sky is also incredibly calm around other animals, including cats and squirrels, making her a joy on walks. While she can be a little shy with new people, she warms up quickly and reveals her sweet, affectionate nature. Sky was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas, along with her siblings after being abandoned as puppies. She's now ready to find a forever family who will provide her with the stable, patient, and loving home she truly deserves. Ideal Home
Sky would thrive in a home that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. Adopters should have an open mind about the needs of rescued street animals and be prepared to offer protection and education. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups.
Ongoing Health
Sky has received a spay/neuter, DHPPI vaccine, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. She also has a negative heartworm test certificate and a health certificate.
Training & Support
Sky is leash trained, crate trained, and house trained. However, the rescue organization notes that they are unable to house-train every pet due to the sheer number of animals in foster care. Adopters should be prepared for the possibility that Sky may not be fully house trained and be ready to provide ongoing support and training.

Transporation
Sky is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and PNW if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
