Tobby

Tobby is a 3.5-year-old, 24 lb Chihuahua and terrier mix with the shortest legs and the biggest heart. He was found wandering along a busy highway in Puerto Rico and was immediately rescued. Tobby is eager to find his forever family in the DC area and explore his new surroundings with long walks and park adventures. He promises loyal companionship and adoring gazes in exchange for safety and love. Tobby is a calm, sweet presence who loves affection, cuddles, and belly rubs. He gets along well with other dogs and has been doing great with the small senior dogs in his foster home. He hasn't had any accidents in the house and enjoys his walks, doing well on his leash. Tobby may need a little time to adjust to new people and environments, but he quickly warms up and becomes a snuggle bug.

Ideal Home

Tobby would do best in a home without children. He would also thrive with either a resident dog or a family who can ensure he has regular opportunities for socialization with other dogs, such as visits to the dog park or doggie daycare.

Ongoing Health

Tobby is a dog from Puerto Rico and will need humans who are very committed to his socialization during his transition.

Tobby is working on his crate training. We cannot guarantee that any dog is housebroken.
