Tucker2 was transferred back to a foster home after “working” at our boarding facility. After he was returned from his last failed adoption he went to our board-n-train for additional training. He graduated and became one of the star pupils who they used for training and socializing new dogs that came in from other rescues for training and/or evaluation. He is doing well back at the house and loves playing with foster siblings Alex and Alita. He is house and crate trained. He is a strong-willed and smart husky that needs an experienced owner who will continue to give him structure and guidance or he will likely regress to being a brat again! He is a sweet boy and has matured since his early days.
Ideal Home
Tucker2 prefers a home with no young children. He's also not a fan of having his paws messed with (including nail trims).
Ongoing Health
All dogs placed by TSDR will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated for distemper/parvo, rabies, and bordetella, heartworm tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. Other vetting as deemed needed. New owners will receive copies of all available vet information and must agree to keep them current on all of the above.
Training & Support
Tucker2 listens well and is good with correction. He needs an experienced owner who will continue to give him structure and guidance or he will likely regress.
Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- The process includes a vet check, calling references, and doing a home visit.
- Adoption donation is due at the time of adoption. Puppies under 1 year are $350. Dogs 1 year to 7 years are $300 and dogs over 7 years are $200. As this is a donation, it will be non-returnable if the dog is returned to rescue.
- Dogs are not placed on a "first come, first serve" basis but rather the best home for the dog.
Transporation
Tucker2 is located in Texas. We rarely do out-of-state adoptions. Exceptions can be discussed but will be based on previous big dog experience and will require the same adoption process.
