Gunner from TEXAS

Gunner is a 3-year-old, 50-pound, black and tan hound mix who was rescued from a rural small-town dog pound. He's a good boy who is crate-trained and comes when called. Gunner enjoys car rides, walks on a leash, and is even good about baths! He's very affectionate and loves to be petted. He enjoys playing with other dogs and loves his toys and treats. Like many hounds, Gunner is easily excited by squirrels and will bark at passersby, other dogs, and cats. He also has a knack for counter-surfing and will raid the garbage if given the chance. Gunner is a happy, goofy hound who prefers to spend his time snoozing on the couch in the cool air conditioning, though he'll happily go out for a quick romp with his friends.

Gunner would thrive in a home where he can relax in the air conditioning. He enjoys the company of other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Gunner is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-negative. He is up-to-date on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Gunner can be prone to barking at people and animals he sees. He also counter-surfs and will raid the garbage if cabinets are not secured.
