Nikki is an amazing dog! She is smart, loving, and absolutely adorable. Nikki is currently in training to help with her reactivity towards strangers and visitors, and she's doing very well.
Nikki is incredibly smart and knows many commands, including Sit, Stay, Come, Shake, Down/Lay Down, and Roll Over. She'll do just about anything for a treat! She is kennel trained and walks great on a leash, though we tend to stay away from big crowds. We don't know if she's suitable for very young children, but older kids who respect her space should be fine. Nikki loves high-pitched baby talk! When meeting her for the first time, it's best to act like you've been old friends and offer her a treat or two... or three!
Her absolute favorite game is Fetch. We have taught her to "Bring it" and "Drop it" because she has a hard time letting go of the ball. Nikki also loves car rides and rides perfectly in the back seat. While Nikki isn't the type to give you slobbery kisses, she does love to cuddle on the couch. She isn't a fan of thunderstorms and will try to hide in a closet or under a bed. Like most dogs, she's not a fan of vacuum cleaners but keeps her distance when they're in use.
Ideal Home
Nikki would do best in a home as an only dog with low traffic. She does not need to be crated, but will need a safe space when having visitors she doesn't know. She is not a fan of thunderstorms and is not recommended for homes with other dogs or cats.
