About Hank

Hank is a handsome mixed-breed puppy, less than a year old, with a tail that curls more and more when he's happy or excited! We suspect he might have some German Shepherd, Black Lab, or Husky in his lineage. Hank was rescued from a high-kill shelter with mere hours to spare. He loves to play with his rope toy, tossing it in the air and catching it, and he's a big fan of squeaky balls. Hank is affectionate, intelligent, and has very high energy. He knows basic commands, is potty trained, and is unfazed by vacuum cleaners. While his paperwork indicated he was good with other dogs, he can become reactive on leash when he sees other dogs. We believe this may be due to frustration from a period of quarantine after leaving the shelter. Hank is currently undergoing additional training to help him reintegrate with other dogs, as he would truly benefit from some canine companionship and playtime. Due to his enthusiastic nature, Hank is not recommended for homes with small children. He would thrive with an active family that can provide him with daily walks and opportunities for hikes or runs. This energetic boy is looking for a foster or forever family.

Ideal Home

Hank would do best with an active family that enjoys daily walks and outdoor activities like hiking or running. He is not recommended for homes with small children due to his overly enthusiastic affections.

Ongoing Health

Hank has a clean bill of health from the vet. He has been neutered and his vaccinations are up to date.

Training & Support

Hank knows basic commands and is potty trained. He is also comfortable around vacuum cleaners. He is currently receiving additional training to help with leash reactivity towards other dogs, which is thought to be due to frustration from a quarantine period.
