Phoenix

HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome and healthy 10-year-old Rottie-Dobie mix, weighing about 80 lbs, in need of a loving foster or forever home. I was a shelter favorite before finding a foster a couple of years ago, but unfortunately, I'm now back on the lookout for my people. I miss having folks around to snuggle with, go for walks, and enjoy adventures. Despite my age, I'm active and incredibly loving, and I'm looking for an active person or people who can join me on hikes and other outings. I'm affectionate, walk beautifully on a leash, and I'm as loyal and sweet as they come. I truly want to be your best friend for life! I prefer having my humans around, which is understandable for a loving dog like me. I'm not a big barker, and when I do, it's usually for a good reason. I can be a bit protective of my loved ones and our home, which can be a positive trait. While I get along well with dogs I know, particularly female dogs around my size, I can be reactive on a leash towards unfamiliar dogs. However, I absolutely adore female dogs and currently have a great time walking with my "girlfriend," Darla, a Doberman. I also crave human attention and affection, and I'm happy to shower you with love. I would do well with a strong owner.
