About Darla

Darla is a sweet shepherd mix puppy, approximately 5 months old, with a beautiful tan and black coat. She's a survivor, being the only one from her litter to overcome parvovirus, which is a testament to her resilient spirit. Darla is a very social and loving pup who enjoys cuddling, giving kisses, and playing with other dogs. She's also a fan of water and will happily splash around! While she uses a doggie door and is mostly house-trained, she may need a few gentle reminders as she settles into her new home.

Ideal Home

Darla would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of attention and affection. Given her love for other dogs, a home with existing canine companions would be wonderful, though not essential. For the safety of both puppies and young children, we do not recommend adopting puppies to homes with children under 5 years old.

Ongoing Health

Darla is a parvo survivor and has received all her vaccinations and dewormer. Her flea and tick treatment was administered on 5/5/26. As she matures, adopters will be responsible for her spay/neuter surgery.

Training & Support

Darla is house-trained with occasional reminders needed. She is not currently crate-trained. She enjoys having her nails trimmed, brushing, and baths, making grooming a breeze.

Application Details:

  • Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
  • The adoption fee is $50, with adopters responsible for the spay/neuter surgery when the pup is of appropriate age.
  • A non-refundable prepaid receipt from your vet for the spay/neuter will be required the day before pickup. Alternatively, a $300 deposit can be made to No Nuts Club, which will be paid directly to your vet or reimbursed upon confirmation of the spay/neuter.
  • If multiple applications are approved, the applicant with the highest donation offer will be chosen.
  • All deposits and fees are considered donations and are non-refundable.
