Navajo, a 6.5-year-old, 75-pound Pitbull mix, is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing pup looking for his forever adventure buddy. He's the perfect blend of playful energy and relaxed companionship, happy to join you on walks or curl up for a cozy evening. Navajo enjoys playing with other dogs, especially in smaller, calmer groups, and is learning to refine his play style. He's polite and non-reactive on leash, though he might pull a bit when excited at the start of a walk. Navajo is fully house and crate-trained and can be left alone without issue. He greets people with friendliness and has done well with children, though interactions with very young ones haven't been extensively tested. He would do best in a home without cats, as he has shown a strong prey drive towards them. Navajo is an excellent car rider, a favorite at the vet, has no issues with stairs, and loves finding cozy spots to nap. He also shows no resource guarding.
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home that enjoys daily walks, occasional outings, and plenty of affection. He could do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. He would do best in a cat-free home.
Ongoing Health
Navajo needed dental work upon arrival, and several damaged teeth, including his canines, were removed. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still enjoys chewing his favorite bones.
Training & Support
Navajo is house-trained and crate-trained. He may occasionally need gentle redirection if he gets overly excited during play.
