A little about them

Willem is an affectionate, athletic, curious, and playful Husky with a big heart and plenty of enthusiasm for adventure. He loves running, long walks, playing with other dogs, car rides, and exploring new places. After a full day of exercise and enrichment, he settles beautifully and is happy to relax, cuddle, and sleep.

Ideal Home

Willem would thrive with an active family that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to socialize and play. He has done very well with dogs in daycare, group play, and off-leash settings, and could potentially live as an only dog with plenty of regular socialization. He is good with children of all ages. His experience with cats is unknown, and his high prey drive means a home without cats would likely be safest.

A very secure, tall fence and careful supervision outdoors are essential because Willem is a determined escape artist.

Ongoing Health

Willem weighs 65 pounds. No medical conditions are reported, and he is spayed/neutered.

Training & Support

Willem is potty trained and learns quickly because he is clever and food-motivated. He is not comfortable in a crate. He has not shown resource guarding or destructive behavior with his current foster. When left alone, he may bark or whine initially but has been able to settle after several minutes.
