Rex Loves Toys

Meet Rex, your big, gray, gentle companion! Rex is a four-year-old silver-gray pit bull or Staffordshire Terrier mix with the softest face, sweetest eyes, and an adorable white chest spot that makes him look like he's wearing a tiny tuxedo. While we can only guess at a rescue dog's exact age and breed, we know for sure that Rex is an incredibly special boy with a heart as big as he is. His foster mom gushes about him, saying her favorite thing about Rex is how happy he always is and that he truly goes with the flow of whatever the day brings. Rex approaches life with an easy, joyful attitude that makes him a pleasure to have around – he's a big, soft house hippo who knows how to chill. He loves affection and enjoys playing with toys, especially Kongs and a good game of tug-of-war. Rex is fully potty trained and crate trained, and he enjoys his daily walks, walking nicely while moving but happy to pause for a good sniff. He's treat motivated, eager to please, and genuinely just a very good dog. Rex is wonderfully gentle with small children and is sweet, patient, and respectful. People are truly Rex's favorite thing in the world; he's friendly, affectionate, and easygoing with everyone he meets. He does wonderfully with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and coexists beautifully with them. He would also be perfectly happy as a solo dog. Rex has not yet been fully introduced to cats, but we can do further testing if he seems like a good fit. Despite his size, Rex is very apartment friendly, being quiet, gentle, and low-key. A couple of walks, some sniffing time, a few toys, and plenty of affection are all it takes to make him happy. Rex is handsome, steady, gentle, and endlessly lovable – the kind of dog who brings calm and happiness into a home. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who's equal parts handsome, goofy, affectionate, and low-fuss, Rex is your guy.

Ideal Home

Rex would be happy as a solo dog or with a medium to low-energy, respectful canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Rex is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and has been spayed/neutered.

Training & Support

Rex is fully potty trained and crate trained. He walks nicely on a leash.

• The adoption fee is $1200 and includes all vetting, transport, a Martingale collar, and a health certificate.
• A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.

Transporation

Rex is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide through our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Transport provides 24/7 care and real-time tracking.
