Wanda is a delightful 2-3 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, weighing approximately 38 lbs. She was found wandering the streets, in need of shelter and food, and was understandably malnourished and covered in ticks and fleas. Despite her rough start, Wanda is a very active, playful, energetic, and loving dog who is social with adults. She prefers to be the only dog in the home, as she is not social with larger dogs and while she hasn't shown aggression with smaller dogs, it's best for her to be the sole canine companion.
Ideal Home
Wanda would thrive in a home with experienced owners who understand her breed. A fenced backyard is a must for her to safely explore and play. An active family that enjoys outdoor adventures and daily walks would be a perfect match for her energetic spirit. We're looking for a family with an open mind and heart for rescue animals, understanding their need for patience, protection, and education. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued. A high level of tolerance and patience will be greatly appreciated as she adjusts to her new life.
Ongoing Health
Wanda has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed, receiving two DHPPI vaccinations, a Rabies vaccine, and a Bordetella vaccine. She has been dewormed and tested for 4DX and heartworm, both with negative certificates. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Wanda is not currently house-trained, and we acknowledge that it's challenging for us to house-train every rescued pet due to the sheer number of animals in foster care. Your patience and dedication to her training will be essential. We are committed to providing support to help her succeed in her new home.

Transportation
Wanda is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Transport is available to the East Coast, with delivery to the adopter's home address, for a fee of $400.00, which will be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
