Dexter

Dexter is a handsome German Shepherd mix born in June 2020. He had a tough start, with a severe leg break that required him to be on restricted activity for much of his youth. Thankfully, he's made a full recovery and is now healthy and ready for adventure! Dexter bonds strongly with his humans and loves his walks, whether it's a stroll around the block or a long hike where he can explore and sniff to his heart's content. In true GSD fashion, he enjoys having a purpose, so a home where he can be included in daily activities and outings would be ideal. He’s full of energy and has an abundance of love to give. Dexter has received great training and is a joy to walk on leash. He listens well and loves learning new things through training games. He’s a big fan of his toys, especially during games of fetch and tug, and he also enjoys playing with them on his own. After a good day of play, his favorite pastime is relaxing on his bed with a Kong or bully stick.

Ideal Home

Dexter would thrive in a home with people who are around and can include him in their adventures. He requires a securely fenced yard and would do best in a home without children or cats.

Ongoing Health

Dexter's leg made a full recovery from a previous break and he is now fully healthy.

Training & Support

Dexter has gone through great training and is easy to walk on leash. He listens well and enjoys learning new behaviors and games through training. He benefits from long walks and hikes.
