Dagger is a 6.5-month-old spayed female Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. She was rescued from the woods with her mother and littermates and has been lovingly fostered since she was a tiny puppy. Dagger stands out with her unique dagger-shaped marking on her neck and her sweet, affectionate nature. She's the perfect blend of playful energy and cuddle bug, always ready for an adventure but equally happy to snuggle up in your lap. Dagger is curious, confident, and social, often the last to leave any fun. She's friendly with strangers, loves playing with other dogs, and has done well with children.
Ideal Home
Dagger is a talented escape artist, so her future family should be aware of her cleverness and ensure her enclosure is secure. She thrives with consistent socialization and positive reinforcement to help her continue maturing into an exceptional adult dog. Because she is still young, homes where someone is not routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time are preferred, as she will benefit from regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, training, and human interaction. We strongly prefer homes that already have another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor and guide Dagger. If you don't currently have a dog, we'd love to hear your plan for continued socialization.

Training & Support
Dagger is potty trained and is continuing to learn about the world. Ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice will help her thrive. Socialization with new people, places, sounds, and friendly dogs is crucial for building her lifelong confidence.
