About Pop
Hello, I'm Pop! I have super soft fur and distinct white markings on my nose. I am SO happy all the time and I love to snuggle! I enjoy sleeping near the oven when it's on. My fur is thicker and fuller than most pitties, perhaps due to a touch of Border Collie in my lineage. My brother and sister and I came from New Mexico. I don't remember much from back then, as I was quite young. I am potty trained and will signal my need to go out by lying by the door. I am also kennel trained, though I admit I'm not a fan of being in my kennel. I am trustworthy enough to be left out and don't destroy anything, usually just sleeping. At night, I sleep as close to my foster mom as possible for warmth! I know "sit," "stay," "wait," and "off," and I'm currently working on "come." I'm really obsessed with food; peanut butter and yogurt are my favorites! I wait for the "okay" command before eating and I'm doing much better at taking treats gently when reminded. I live with a fabulous 10-year-old foster sister and have met her friends. I'm super good with her but tend to bark at her friends. I'm a little unsure about young children initially because they move fast, but I do warm up, and then I just want to lick them; it takes about 10 minutes for me to settle. I'm not sure what a cat is, but I love other dogs! I am my slightly younger foster brother's emotional support dog – he needs to be beside me at all times. I love to play with my big foster sister, who is almost two and 55 lbs. We play tug, keep away, and chase every day. My big foster brother, almost four and 96 lbs, tolerates my playful nudges. My favorite activities with other dogs include wrestling, zoomies, and tug-of-war. I also love going on neighborhood walks. I'm smart and love to learn new things! I want to be friends with everyone, though I take my time warming up. I love to snuggle and be loved on, and I want to adventure and explore. I would make a great hiking buddy and traveling companion. I really just want to be with my people, have a dog friend, and live the best life. A dream day for me would involve a morning walk, a good breakfast, lots of playtime, a morning nap, a lunch snack, more playtime, an afternoon nap, dinner, playtime, snuggles, and a last potty break before bed. I'm most like Puff the Magic Dragon, as my foster mom made up her own lyrics to the song for me! I love stuffies, hard plastic chew toys, and anything that allows for a good game of tug. I enjoy playing as much as possible, with long naps in between. What makes my body wiggle and tail wag harder than anything is when my people get home.
Ideal Home
I would thrive in a home with older kids, another dog, and a fun, active lifestyle. Sleeping in bed with someone is a must!
