About Andy
Meet Andy, a delightful 2-year-old Retriever mix who weighs in at a perfect 50-55 lbs. Andy's journey began in Texas, where he and his siblings were sadly abandoned. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought to safety, and Andy has since shown just how resilient and loving he truly is. With stability, kindness, and care, he has blossomed into the wonderful, affectionate dog he is today—and he’s more than ready for the next chapter with a family of his own. Andy is incredibly dog-friendly and absolutely thrives around other pups. He lights up when he’s with his canine friends, which is why his dream home would include another dog to pal around with. Having a built-in bestie would truly make his world complete. At home, Andy is a total gentleman. He’s house trained, crate trained, and has settled beautifully into his foster home. He’s respectful, adaptable, and has that wonderful “old soul in a young dog body” vibe. Initially he may be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a moment and you’ll see his soft, affectionate personality shine through. Andy loves routine, companionship, and being part of the action—whether that’s daily walks, romping with dog friends, or curling up nearby while you relax. He walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and is eager to please. Andy is the kind of dog who may not demand the spotlight—but once he’s yours, you’ll wonder how your life ever felt complete without him.
Ideal Home
Andy's ideal forever home would be a calm, loving environment where he can continue to blossom—especially one with another dog and people who appreciate a loyal, kindhearted companion. A yard is a bonus, but his biggest requirement is simple: love, consistency, and a canine buddy to share life with. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
Ongoing Health
Andy is a healthy boy!
