Loki is a 6.5-month-old male Retriever/Pit Bull mix, weighing around 40 pounds, and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He was rescued from the woods with his mother, Wanda, and siblings and has grown up loved and cared for. Loki is a brave and bold pup, always ready for adventure and the first to investigate new things. He loves to play, is an expert climber, and enjoys games of keep-away with his toys. Despite his energetic nature, Loki is also a sweet and cuddly companion who loves to snuggle. He is potty trained, good with people and other dogs, and has been introduced to children. He is also crate-trained for short periods.
Ideal Home
Loki would thrive in a home that can provide him with consistent training and socialization. He would do best in a home with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help him learn and grow. Homes where someone is not routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time are preferred, as he will benefit from regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, training, and human interaction.
Ongoing Health
Loki is a healthy young dog. As with any young dog, there may be occasional accidents as he adjusts to a new routine.
Training & Support
Loki is eager to learn and is continuing to practice his leash skills and basic obedience. He benefits from ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice. Continued socialization with new people, places, sounds, and friendly dogs is important for building his lifelong confidence. Structured training classes, supervised daycare, and regular playdates with trusted dogs are recommended.
