Kenai

Kenai is a 2-4 year old mixed breed with a truly inspiring story. She came to us as a stray, having endured a harrowing experience with a trap attached to her leg. After being safely rescued, it was discovered that her front leg had extensive injuries and sadly, it had to be amputated. Now, Kenai is a resilient tripod, learning to navigate the world with her new mobility and taking it all in stride! Despite her past trauma, she remains an incredibly sweet and gentle soul. She's friendly, loving, and smart, and she also gets along wonderfully with other dogs. This brave girl is so deserving of a happy ending, and we're committed to making sure the rest of her life is the best of her life. Could that be with you?

Ideal Home

Kenai would thrive in a home where she can continue to build her confidence and receive plenty of love and support as she adjusts to life as a tripod.

Ongoing Health

Kenai's front leg was amputated due to injuries from a trap. She is recovering and adapting well to being a tripod.

Training & Support

Like all rescue dogs, Kenai will benefit from continued training and socialization to help her flourish in her new home.

• Applications to adopt Kenai start by contacting us through Wags.
• We are located in South Carolina and transport to the northeast weekly.
• Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet.
• We provide local or virtual meet-and-greets with an application on file.

Transporation

Kenai is currently located in Milford, CT. We offer transport to the Northeast weekly. Applicants located outside of this transport route may need to travel to pick up their pet.
