Meet Smiley Wiley, the Hugging Smile Machine! This handsome German Shepherd mix is approximately 1 year old and weighs 65 lbs. Wiley is an athletic, loyal, and adventurous companion who is as beautiful on the outside as he is on the inside. He's known for his incredible bear hugs, which are sure to brighten even the toughest days. Wiley is also a social butterfly who enjoys playing with other dogs, engaging in lighthearted games of chase and wrestling.

Ideal Home

Wiley would do best in a home with someone experienced with German Shepherds who can provide confident leadership and structure. He thrives with a fun, happy, and confident canine companion, ideally a female who enjoys both boisterous play and quiet cuddle time. While he's good with younger children and tolerant of their energy, he truly prefers the company of older children (15 and up) who understand his need for personal space. A home with a big backyard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy the sunshine would be his dream come true. He is not a fan of cats.

Ongoing Health

Wiley is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. He has a clean bill of health.

Training & Support

Wiley is a smart and eager-to-please boy who responds exceptionally well to training. He already knows commands like sit, down, and wait and is very treat motivated, though he'll listen even without a treat. His confidence can waver in new situations, so a confident resident dog will be a great mentor. He enjoys mental stimulation and is happy to settle down with his favorite toy after outdoor play.
