Meet Chanel, a resilient 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix who is blossoming into an energetic, happy dog. She's a true hero, even donating blood to save other lives! While her transformation is incredible, she's still searching for a patient family and a canine companion to help her rebuild her faith in humanity and learn to trust again. Chanel enjoys toys and balls, especially soft squeakers, but can be easily startled by loud noises and is still figuring out how to play. She is also still working through past trauma and can be quite flinchy when hands reach toward her, so she'll need a gentle, understanding environment where she can take things at her own pace.

Chanel needs a patient and understanding family with a canine companion. She requires a gentle environment where she can learn to trust and feel safe.
Ongoing Health
Chanel is up to date on vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccines, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, and micro-chipping.
Training & Support
Chanel is still working on overcoming past trauma and can be flinchy. She needs continued gentle training and socialization to build her confidence and trust. She is still learning how to play with toys.

Transportation
Chanel is located in Texas. Transportation is available in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH, LA. AZ is coming soon. Transport is done via air-conditioned buses or vans with onboard attendants. Pre-determined locations and times are set for transport. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request at the adopter's financial responsibility. Texas Adopters have a $250 flat rate fee for transporting within the state. The adoption and transportation range from $100-500.
