Roxy is a gorgeous, approximately 2-year-old, 48 lb sweetheart with legs as long as a gazelle's! She was found in January 2026 fending for herself in a cemetery with over a dozen other dogs. Thankfully, a caring sanctuary found her and brought her to safety, reaching out to us to help find her the loving home she deserves.
Roxy absolutely adores other dogs, big and small, and would thrive in a home with canine companions to play with. She's a big cuddler who loves to be close to her human, often described as a loyal shadow. Her favorite activities include playing with her toys and gently chasing farm pigs – she's very sweet with them! She's also crate trained and has no issues when left alone, preferring not to be crated when she can relax outside of it. Roxy is great with well-behaved children.
Ideal Home
A medium-active home with other dogs would be ideal for Roxy. She'll need someone who can provide regular playtime, exercise, and training to keep her happy and engaged.
Ongoing Health
Roxy is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and de-wormer. She is heartworm positive and has received a 30-day course of antibiotics. She will need to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested afterward. She will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Roxy is an escape artist and loves to explore, especially the woods. While she always comes when called, it's important to secure her environment to prevent her from going on solo adventures.
