Proof You Can Be Handsome and Humble

Tuxie is a dapper 1-year-old, 50 lb mixed breed boy who looks like he should be serving cocktails at a fancy party. However, he's more of a "Netflix and nap" kind of guy! He was rescued from the streets of Houston and has adjusted beautifully to foster life. Tuxie is a social butterfly who makes friends easily with his confident and gentle demeanor. He gets along wonderfully with his foster siblings, a golden retriever and a pit bull, and would love to have a canine companion in his forever home.

Tuxie is a smart pup with an old soul and puppy energy. He's eager to please and is learning new tricks quickly, including leash manners, "sit," and "fetch." He has a prey drive that says "no thanks" to small animals and cats, so he would do best in a home without them. He is fully potty-trained, rarely barks, and is happy to trade belly rubs for a lifetime of loyalty. Tuxie is happiest in a home with another friendly dog and humans who appreciate a good balance of playtime and peace.

Ideal Home

Tuxie would thrive in a home with another friendly dog and humans who enjoy a good balance of playtime and peace. He would do best in a home without cats or small animals. A home with children 10 years and over is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Tuxie has no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Tuxie is learning leash manners, "sit," and "fetch." He is a smart and eager-to-please pup. He is fully potty-trained and rarely barks.

Transportation

Tuxie is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue. Transports depart each week.
