Texana (AP)

Texana is a beautiful, sweet, and spunky 1 1/2-year-old girl looking for a new place to call home. She has come a long way and would prefer to be the queen of her castle. Texana was brought to the PNW from Texas when she was about 3 months old and unfortunately, did not have a lot of socialization in her younger years. Regardless, she knows some commands and wants to please her people. Common of Pyrs, she likes to patrol the property, bark at any potential threats, and can be a little stubborn, which is one of the reasons we love our Pyrs! She's not a fan of cats and has not been exposed to livestock. She would do okay with a mellow male dog; meet and greets prior to adoption would be helpful.

Ideal Home

Texana would prefer to be the only queen of the castle. She is not a fan of cats and has not been exposed to livestock. We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. All our dogs require secure, visible fencing.

Ongoing Health

All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Common of Pyrs, she likes to patrol the property, bark at any potential threats, and can be a little stubborn.

Transportation

Texana is being fostered in Olympia, WA and can be adopted within WA-OR. Northwest adopters pay the cost of transport to an independent transport company. Transport is arranged by Great Pyrs & Paws Rescue. The transport fee is $350 and includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport.
