Meet Mr. Cooper, a loyal and resilient soul who is searching for a dedicated foster or forever home! Cooper isn't your average dog—he's a survivor with a massive heart. Found as a stray in NYC, he showed his gentle side immediately by being respectful and calm around the children of the woman who rescued him. Though he's been let down by humans in the past, he is living proof that with a little patience and trust, any dog can thrive.

When Cooper first arrived, he was untrusting and struggled with guarding behaviors. But in just one month of consistent work, he has completely turned a corner! He now knows that humans are friends, happily eats right from your hand, and—best of all—he has become a total "kiss monster." Cooper is highly food-motivated and has already mastered "Sit," "Fetch," "Paw," and "Lay Down." He has a hilarious habit of running in circles when he needs to go outside, guaranteed to make you laugh every time! He is fully house-trained and loves to sniff every single blade of grass in the yard. His absolute favorites are bananas, peanut butter, and cookies. When he needs a "zen moment," a lick mat is his best friend.

Ideal Home

Cooper is a high-energy guy who is still working on his leash manners and can pull when he gets excited or nervous. He is looking for a solo or two-person household with older children (17+) and no cats. A yard where he can play ball to his heart's content is also ideal.
