Janet

Janet is an 18-pound, long-legged, very sweet girl who has overcome a lot in her young life. She came from a hoarding situation in Oklahoma where she was not socialized, never played in the yard, and was very traumatized. Since January 3, 2026, Janet has been in her foster home, making slow but steady progress. She is learning that she is safe, loved, and wanted. Cuddles and pets feel good, leash walks are fun, and even new people and noises are manageable. Her foster family says she is doing a great job of learning to be a dog, now loving to explore the backyard, sniff around, and play with her foster siblings and toys. Janet is ready to find her furever home.

Ideal Home

Janet would thrive in a quiet home with another confident dog sibling who can be a positive role model. Her new family should be home a lot to provide support and patience as she continues to grow and learn.

Janet is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Janet is still learning to trust and gain confidence. She benefits greatly from a patient and supportive environment. Her foster family has introduced her to leash walks and exploring new environments like Lowe's, showing her that the world can be a safe and fun place.
