A little about them
Meet Fox, a sweet 2-year-old, 50-pound Lab/hound mix ready for a loving forever home after raising puppies over the summer of 2026. She loves family, food, fetch, belly rubs, and attention, and she enjoys carrying her denim sloth, playing fetch with a Kong, and cuddling close to her people.
Fox is low-maintenance, eager to learn, and can thrive with first-time or experienced dog owners. She enjoys playing fetch or tug indoors or outdoors and can stay focused on a bone or pupsicle for more than 30 minutes. She takes treats gently and finds them motivating for learning, medication, crate time, and self-entertainment.
Ideal Home
- Fox can live with other dogs or as an only dog.
- She has had gentle, sweet interactions with children, though she has not lived with children in her foster home.
- A physical fence is required, and a single-family home with a fenced yard would suit her best.
- Fox is not considered apartment or multi-family-home friendly because she can bark powerfully at outside sights and sounds, though she can be redirected.
Ongoing Health
Fox will receive spay/neuter, a microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and current flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives as part of her adoption fee. Dogs over six months are tested for heartworm and are heartworm negative.
Training & Support
- Fox is crate trained and potty trained.
- She sleeps in her crate and is crated when home alone. She may be able to learn to free-roam during the day.
- She can go around eight hours without needing to go outside.
- Fox loves gentle attention, belly rubs, neck and chin scratches, and cuddling near her people. She prefers to sleep within sight of at least one person.
Application Details
- Adoption fee: $350.
- Applications start by contacting Fox's provider through Wags.
