Wilbur

Wilbur is an incredibly sweet boy who truly loves people and craves attention. He was found scavenging through trash, doing his best to survive on his own, but despite his rough start, his loving nature shines through.

Ideal Home

Wilbur can be reactive around other dogs and cats, so he may do best as the only pet or with slow, careful introductions. He is a strong walker and will need someone who can confidently handle him on a leash.

Ongoing Health

Wilbur tested heartworm positive and has started the slow-kill method of treatment. He will need to be kept on an ivermectin-based prevention until he can be retested in a year. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Wilbur is very food-motivated, which makes training a great opportunity! He already knows "sit" and is eager to learn more. We are still getting to know Wilbur and will continue to update his profile as we learn more about his personality and needs.
