Mavis

Mavis is a sweet and loving young female dog who came to us as a stray. She was found to be malnourished and lacking love and steady resources. Mavis is already learning some basic commands and has successfully learned to use a dog door, so house training is in progress. She's a working breed, so she'll need a home that can provide her with plenty of mental and physical stimulation, whether that's through fun training sessions or a more active job. Mavis is super sweet and loves children and other dogs, though she doesn't appreciate naughty behavior from them. She also enjoys a good cuddle. Mavis is going through some emotional adjustments as she gains weight and recovers, but she's sure to blossom into a beautiful girl. We're unsure if she's purebred or a mix.

Ideal Home

Mavis would thrive in an active home that can provide her with consistent training and exercise. She loves kids and other dogs but prefers they don't exhibit "naughty behavior."

Ongoing Health

Mavis is currently recovering from malnutrition and is working on gaining weight. She is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Mavis is working on separation anxiety and learning basic commands. She has learned to use a dog door and is progressing with house training. As a working breed, she requires an owner committed to providing her with ample mental and physical engagement.
