Shadow

Meet Shadow, a handsome, athletic German Shepherd/American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He is intelligent, loyal, affectionate, goofy, expressive, and wonderfully talkative. Shadow loves being with his people, whether on walks, car rides, errands, patio outings, or relaxing at home.

He is food motivated, eager to learn, obedient, and responsive to redirection and structure. Shadow walks nicely on leash overall and forms deep bonds with his humans. With consistent exercise, enrichment, continued training, and companionship, he can flourish as a devoted lifelong companion.

Ideal Home

Shadow is social with people and has generally done well around other dogs. In chaotic or highly stimulating situations, particularly around dogs that are barking intensely, reacting aggressively, or fighting, he can become overstimulated and reactive if not redirected quickly. He would do best with an adopter who understands structure, boundaries, dog behavior, and managing arousal levels.

He is active, curious, and intelligent, so daily walks, mental stimulation, enrichment toys, supervision, and consistency are important. When bored, he may get into harmless mischief, including taking unattended food from counters.
