About Lager

My name is Lager, and I'm a 1-year-old pup from Kentucky looking for my forever home! I'm still a youngster, and while I love my new life in rural New Jersey, I know I'd be too scared for city living. My foster mom says I'm motivated by my belly, and I'll do just about anything for a tasty treat! She also says I'm a goofy guy and that my antics always make her laugh. I'm used to a home with other dogs and a fenced yard, and I love to play with my chew toys. My leash training is still a work in progress, but I'm told treats might be involved, which is exciting! I'm a bit of a strong, silent type, and I'm pretty laid back for my age. I listen intently when you talk to me, though I'm still mastering human words, but I do know my name, "go potty," "put that down," and "good boy."

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home that's similar to my foster home, with a fenced yard and other doggie friends. I'd prefer to avoid city life, as it's a bit too overwhelming for me. My ideal home also needs to be patient and loving, as I still have some training to do!

Ongoing Health

No specific health concerns have been mentioned.

Training & Support

I'm still learning the ropes and would benefit from continued training, especially with leash walking. I'm highly food-motivated, so positive reinforcement with treats will be a great way to teach me new things!
