Duque is a handsome 4-year-old English Shepherd mix who weighs around 42 lbs. He boasts a stunning black and white coat with luxurious, thick fur. Duque is already potty trained and leash trained, making him a well-mannered companion for both indoor living and outdoor adventures. He's a friendly and affectionate boy who quickly warms up to new people and environments, always eager for a good petting session and quality time with his family. His favorite activity is going for walks and staying active. Duque is a balanced and loving dog seeking a home where he can continue to receive affection, companionship, and enjoy his daily strolls.
Ideal Home
We're looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a securely fenced backyard. Duque's ideal home will be with owners who have a genuine intention to rescue a dog and understand the needs of rescued animals, including providing protection and education. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a commitment to hiring a professional trainer to help this intelligent dog thrive. A high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are also essential.
Ongoing Health
Duque has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, receiving DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and being microchipped. He has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX. He is currently on monthly preventive medication (Nexgard Spectra) for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Please note that Duque is not house-trained. Rescued pets often require an adjustment period, and patience and understanding are crucial. This means providing a safe, loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries to help him feel secure and build trust. Owners should be prepared for the need for rehabilitation and education for rescued animals.

Transporation
Duque is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation is available door-to-door for a one-time fee of $400 USD. Our transport company will bring your new furry friend directly to your home. Regular updates, including photos and videos of your pet's journey, feeding schedules, and estimated arrival times, will be provided through a private Facebook Messenger group.
