TOBY

Toby is a 6-year-old, 76.5-pound Lab mix who is ready for his next adventure! He was previously known as Otis and is described as a perfect dog, with a free spirit that loves exploring. Toby is kennel-trained, housebroken, rides well in a car, and knows his basic commands. He is incredibly friendly and loves everyone he meets, including babies and children, and he also gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Toby is a sweet, happy, and energetic boy who is eager to continue loving his new family.

Ideal Home

Toby loves to play and is very energetic, so an active household would be ideal. It's important to be mindful when opening doors to the outdoors, as Toby has a history of making a great escape to go on his own grand adventures.

Ongoing Health

Toby recently had a dental cleaning and should be on soaked food until 1/23/26 while his gums heal.

Training & Support

Toby is house-trained and will stand by the door and whine to go out. He is also crate-trained and seems to know not to jump on furniture. He rarely barks. Because Toby can be excitable and energetic, he may accidentally knock into people, especially smaller children. Slow and controlled introductions to other animals are recommended to ensure continued success.
