Toby is a delightful 1-year-old French mix, weighing in at 11 lbs. He's brimming with love, affection, and a vibrant zest for life! Toby absolutely adores his walks, loves to run, and enjoys playing with other dogs. He has a special soft spot for men and is eager to shower his new family with kisses. His past was challenging, having been abandoned and then injured by a car. Thankfully, he's made a full recovery and is now healthy, though he sometimes experiences bursts of energy. Toby is seeking an active and patient family who can help him channel his enthusiasm through play, plenty of walks, and abundant love. He is a loyal companion, ready to offer his heart and is deserving of a second chance at happiness.
Ideal Home
An active family with a securely fenced backyard (tall fence) is ideal for Toby. He needs a home where he can safely explore and burn off energy.
Ongoing Health
Toby has received comprehensive health treatments including: spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test and certificate, and a negative heartworm test certificate. He is currently on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
It's important to understand that Toby, like many rescued animals, may need an adjustment period. He is not house-trained, and patience and understanding will be crucial as he adapts to his new environment. He may exhibit anxious bursts of energy, and his new family should be prepared to help him channel this through consistent play and exercise. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, are highly encouraged to apply.

Transporation
Toby is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time transport fee of $400 USD. This process includes scheduled trips (3-4 times per year with 15-20 adoptions per trip), a partnered transport company, comprehensive legal and health documentation, cross-border transport, real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group, and final home delivery.
