Goofball, derp, and lover of life! Cjay is a loving, loyal, and funny companion who's the "tongue flopping, trotting next to you" kind of best friend. He's a fantastic hybrid dog who enjoys the great outdoors, going for walks, playing fetch, and even running alongside you on a bike ride. When it's time to relax, he's a chill couch potato who loves to snuggle up and watch TV. Everyone who meets Cjay falls in love with his big personality and the endless laughter he brings. Cjay has been fostered by an experienced trainer, so he comes with the benefits of an in-depth board and train program. He's seeking an experienced family with strong leadership skills and kind hearts who will continue to provide consistent training to set him up for success. Approved adopters will receive training sessions to ensure a smooth transition! Cjay's absolute favorite activity is playing ball while simultaneously rolling in the grass – talk about innovative fun!
Ideal Home
Cjay is looking for a calm, structured home where he can thrive. He prefers a strong leader with a kind heart who maintains consistency with training. Ideally, his new family has experience with big, protective breeds or is eager to learn. An active lifestyle is a plus, as Cjay loves to be included in outings. He can do well with children around 12 years old and up who understand boundaries. While he lives with cats and plays with one, gradual introductions are best. Cjay prefers calm, respectful dogs and requires slow, proper introductions. He's not a fan of high-energy, jumpy dogs in his face and will let them know. He can be the only dog in the home, or live with another calm, respectful, and trained dog.
Ongoing Health
Cjay is a healthy, ~86-pound boy of approximately 10 years, though he certainly doesn't act his age and loves to play, run, and hike! He can have a sensitive tummy, which is managed with high-quality food and treats (avoiding poultry). Occasionally, he experiences dry eyes, which are easily managed with eyedrops. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Cjay has completed an advanced board and train program with a balanced trainer and behaviorist, earning him a Canine Good Citizen certification. His trainer will provide sessions to his new family to ensure consistency with his skills. He is crate trained and will come with his own Impact crate. He's not a fan of strangers approaching him directly and prefers proper introductions.
