Jack

Meet Jack, a one-of-a-kind Blue Heeler mix with an unforgettable smile. This affectionate, playful, loyal, and intelligent one-year-old weighs 41 pounds and loves people, toys, fetch, belly rubs, and being included in daily adventures.

Jack was rescued from a rural shelter outside Houston after facing euthanasia. Once he feels safe, his goofy and loving personality shines through. He is highly food motivated, eager to learn, and already knows sit and down.

Ideal Home

Jack needs an active, committed family familiar with cattle dogs and able to provide exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and enrichment through activities such as hiking, running, fetch, training games, obedience, or agility. He is dog-friendly and loves canine playmates, though a dog sibling is not required. Jack loves children and enjoys running and playing with them.

He is still building confidence in busy environments and around unfamiliar people. With patience, consistency, and time to adjust, he warms up quickly. He may become a little mouthy when excited.

Training & Support

Jack does beautifully in his kennel and sleeps quietly through the night. He is also happy to sleep beside his humans. He is intelligent, food motivated, and eager to continue learning.
