Anck-Su-Namun, a delightful female Chihuahua/Basenji mix born on March 15, 2024, is a real sweetheart who has blossomed in our care! This 8-pound pup is microchipped and spayed. She absolutely adores her walks, enjoys the company of other young dogs, and is already mastering basic commands! Suna is a true snuggler who loves to spend time on your lap.
She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is incredibly attentive and food-motivated, making her a quick learner. Her intelligence shines as she picks up on new commands, and she's become quite agile. Now that she's mastered leash walking, Suna is eager for hikes and adventures. She also has a talent for jumping about four feet in the air, a skill she enthusiastically demonstrates when greeting her foster family, and has even used it to hop over a 40-inch baby gate!
Suna is a gentle and sweet dog with plenty of energy, but she also knows how to relax. She'll make a fantastic companion for an active family ready to include her in daily activities and take her on walks or hikes.
Ideal Home
Suna would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard. Due to her vocal nature when left alone or when you return, she would not be a suitable pet for apartment living. She is also looking for a home without children.
Ongoing Health
All HEART dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, bordetella, distemper, parvo, adenovirus, and hepatitis. They are tested for heartworms and treated if necessary. All dogs receive monthly heartworm and flea prevention, along with any additional medical care they may need, such as wound repair, skin disorder treatment, dental care, or infection treatment.
Training & Support
Suna is learning basic commands and is very food-motivated. She does sing when you leave or come home and can be heard from a distance. An experienced home is required, and she is not recommended as a first-time dog.
