Rum is a one-year-old, approximately 35 lb mix of what we believe to be pointer, heeler, beagle, and possibly Dalmatian. She's a vibrant and playful girl who was found with her sister, Tequila, behind a liquor store. While they aren't a bonded pair, they do share a striking resemblance with their beautiful spots! Rum is a bit more active and playful than her sister, making her an ideal companion for an active household ready for adventure. She's sweet, friendly, loving, gentle, and kind, with a super smart personality that will make her a perfect addition to the right home.
Ideal Home
Rum would thrive in an active home that can keep up with her playful nature. She loves children of all ages and would be a fantastic addition to a family with kids. She also gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and would be happy in a home with or without canine companions. Rum has also been introduced to cats and shows no prey drive, suggesting she could live happily with them with proper introductions.
Ongoing Health
Rum is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations and flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and has been dewormed. She will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Rum is house-trained and crate-trained. She also walks well on a leash and rides calmly in the car, making her a great adventure buddy!

Transporation
Rum is currently located in Texas but can be transported to the Central US and East Coast. Transport is available to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany and Latham, NY; Wells and Brattleboro, VT; Willington, Enfield, New Haven and Dayville, CT; Port Chester, NY; Dayton and Akron, OH; Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA; Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ; White Marsh/Elkton, MD; and Falls Church, VA. The adoption fee of $525 includes transport.
