Orphan Annie

We call her Orphan Annie because she was found abandoned on a hiking trail. It's quite remarkable how she has settled in and become such a beloved part of our rescue! Annie is a spirited Australian Cattle Dog, full of energy and always ready for an adventure. True to herding breed nature, she enjoys directing things and might nip to guide movement, which means she wouldn't be the best fit for a home with young children. Annie thrives when she has a job to do and loves to be active and involved in everything. Her two main speeds are usually "sleeping" and "full blast," but when she's one-on-one with her person, she's completely focused and engaged. She's a smart cookie and would excel in training for activities like herding or agility, anything that keeps her mind sharp and earns her praise. This compact, beautiful girl is incredibly loyal and willing to please, offering 200% in return. If you're looking for a dedicated working companion to share your daily life, Annie is an exceptional match.

Ideal Home

Annie needs a home that can keep up with her active lifestyle and provide her with a "job" to do. Due to her herding instincts and tendency to nip, she would not be a good fit for a home with young children.

Annie is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. She is up-to-date on her flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Annie is a smart and capable dog who would excel in activities that challenge her mentally and physically. Training for herding, agility, or other high-activity pursuits would be ideal.
