Bullseye is a charming 6.5-month-old male Retriever/Pit Bull mix with an estimated DOB of January 2026. He currently weighs 40 pounds and is anticipated to be a large dog when fully grown. Bullseye is the quiet observer of his litter, often taking in his surroundings before joining in the fun. He adores dinnertime, belly rubs, ear scratches, and snuggling up with his favorite people, but he also enjoys romping with his siblings. Bullseye possesses a gentle, thoughtful nature and a calm presence that makes him instantly lovable. He's the ideal loyal companion for someone seeking a soft heart and an easygoing personality. As an adolescent, he balances playful energy with a developing knack for being a wonderful companion.
Ideal Home
Bullseye would thrive in a home with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor him, as he enjoys playing with other dogs and has done well with children. We prefer homes where someone is not routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time to ensure he receives regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, training, and human interaction.

Training & Support
Bullseye is potty trained, but expect a few accidents as he adjusts to a new routine. He is continuing to build confidence with leash walking and basic obedience. Ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice will help him thrive. Continued socialization with safe, positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, and friendly dogs is crucial for building lifelong confidence.

- The process starts with an application. If you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process.
Transportation
Bullseye is currently located in Houston, Texas, and can be transported to an approved adopter. Transports run every few weeks and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
