Matty

Matty is a charming beagle boy who was found as a stray in Louisiana and is now loving life in his foster home. He's a friendly companion who loves to be involved in everything his humans are doing and is always up for a cuddle. Matty's love for food is immense, and he's not above a little counter-surfing to get his paws on a tasty treat!

Ideal Home

Matty would thrive in a home where he can be a close part of the family. He loves to cuddle and be involved in all activities.

Ongoing Health

Matty is heartworm positive, but he is scheduled for treatment in Louisiana in mid-March. He is currently healthy, asymptomatic, and expected to do well.

Training & Support

Housetraining is still a work in progress for Matty, but he is showing improvement. He is comfortable in his crate and even enjoys treats and meals inside it. While Matty is generally quiet, he will bark when defending the yard with other dogs, though he is not the instigator. He's also still learning that not everything is a toy and needs gentle guidance on what is appropriate to chew on.
