Shorty is one of the lucky ones. He found himself in an overcrowded shelter with time running out, despite being a favorite among the shelter staff. Everyone who met him fell in love with his sweet, affectionate personality and adorable looks. When we learned he was at risk, we knew we had to help—and we're so glad we did! This handsome boy has settled beautifully into his foster home. Shorty gets along great with other dogs and loves playing with his foster siblings. He's also a big fan of toys, especially his Chuck-it ball. He happily carries it around in his mouth, entertaining himself and everyone around him with his playful, goofy personality. Shorty enjoys his daily walks and greets everyone he meets with a friendly wag. He's also happy exploring the backyard, soaking up the sunshine, or relaxing on a soft bed after a day of fun. Most of all, he'd love a family to cuddle with and call his own. He is a smart boy and knows sit! He's both house-trained and crate-trained, making him an easy addition to his future home. Shorty is approximately 2 to 2.5 years old, weighs 35 pounds, and is believed to be a Shepherd/Corgi mix. He has the best of both breeds—adorable short legs and a longer body like a Corgi, paired with the beautiful coloring of a Shepherd. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion who will make you smile every day, Shorty is ready to meet you!
